Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, specifically hydrovac trucks, to safely excavate and expose underground utilities and pipelines. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.
Duties
- Operate hydrovac trucks for excavation tasks, including vacuum excavation and debris removal
- Perform maintenance checks and basic mechanical troubleshooting on equipment
- Assist with site preparation, trenching, and utility location activities
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment
- Utilize knowledge of horizontal drilling and other construction techniques to support various projects
- Operate commercial vehicles responsibly for transportation of equipment and materials
Qualifications
- Heavy equipment operation experience, particularly with hydrovac trucks
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid class 3 drivers licence with air breaks endorsement
- Standard Safety Tickets including First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance
- Proficiency in operating foremost hydrovacs
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and practices
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including digging
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
