CIMA Enoteca is a busy Italian restaurant specializing in Neapolitan-style pizza, fresh pasta, and regional Italian cuisine. We pride ourselves on being a 100% scratch-made kitchen, crafting everything in-house to deliver authentic, high-quality dining experiences.
We are currently seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food, hospitality, and team development.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume, professional kitchen.
- Strong experience working multiple stations, including pasta, grill, garde manger, or pizza.
- Experience leading services and supervising kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with Italian cuisine and scratch cooking (strong asset).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to lead by example.
- Availability to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, Sundays, and Mondays.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Lead services and ensure dishes are executed consistently to CIMA Enoteca's standards.
- Train, mentor, and support line cooks and new team members.
- Assist with prep planning, inventory management, ordering, and waste control.
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards are maintained at all times.
- Step into any station as needed to support the team and maintain smooth service.
- Contribute ideas for menu features, seasonal dishes, and operational improvements.
