Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our private travel health immunization clinic. This nursing role offers work-life balance and the opportunity to develop expertise in a unique specialty. We will provide training for the right candidate. The ideal candidate must be motivated, reliable, enjoy patient education, preventative healthcare, and would like to build specialized knowledge in travel medicine.
Responsibilities
- Administer immunizations and vaccines accurately following established protocols
- Assess patient travel itineraries and provide appropriate education and recommendations regarding immunizations and medications
- Document all patient interactions and procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Monitor patients post-vaccination for adverse reactions and provide immediate care if necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with other patient care activities such as medication dispensing
- Support clinic operations by managing patient flow efficiently and ensuring a positive patient experience
- Support clinic operations by creating invoices and collecting payments for services provided
- Support clinic operations with accurate inventory monitoring
Requirements
- Licensed as an RPN or RN in good standing with The College of Nurses
- Prior nursing experience in settings such as nursing homes, hospitals, acute care, dementia care, pediatrics, home care, assisted living, senior care, hospice care, physician's office, public health office, or cosmetic nursing is preferred
- Knowledge of immunizations and administering vaccines
- Experience with electronic health recording systems
- Strong patient education skills
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable learning new knowledge
- Confident speaking skills and giving medical advice to clients
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to clinic scheduling needs. There is flexible scheduling available to accommodate work-life balance; and hours at the clinic will fluctuate during slow season ( typically May to August). Great for someone who would like an extra day off during summer months.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
