Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Program Support Workers to provide support to individuals with special needs. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, ensure safety, and promote well-being in a community based day program. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living
- Provide individualized support and recreational opportunities to clients of all ages, including individuals with disabilities
- Administer medications as directed and monitor health status
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Document care activities and communicate any concerns or changes in client condition to supervising staff
Requirements
- Prior experience in working with individuals with development disabilities
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and safety protocols
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to provide consistent client support
- Preferred developmental service worker, educational assistant, CYW, or SSW
- First aid certification
- Vulnerable sector check
This position is vital for providing essential respite care that enhances the quality of life for clients while supporting their families.
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
