We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Appliance Sales Specialist to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers to showcase appliances, providing expert product demonstrations, and guiding clients through their purchasing decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for customer service. As an Appliance Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales growth while helping maintain the daily operations of our warehouse and showroom.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their appliance needs and recommend suitable products.
- Conduct detailed product demonstrations to highlight product features and benefits.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, cash handling, and order processing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Assist with merchandising displays to optimize product visibility and showroom presentation.
- Upsell additional products, warranties, accessories, and services to maximize sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store and warehouse operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory.
- Assist customers with loading appliances when required.
- Perform deliveries when needed, including driving a pickup truck or U-Haul vehicle to transport appliances safely to customers.
- Load, unload, move, and position heavy appliances safely. Heavy lifting is a regular and essential part of this position.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe showroom, warehouse, and outdoor areas at all times. Store cleanliness is an essential responsibility of this role.
- Assist with receiving inventory, organizing stock, and preparing appliances for display or delivery.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures while handling appliances and operating company vehicles.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, inside sales, or appliance sales is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Excellent negotiation and upselling skills.
- Knowledge of home appliances or the home improvement industry is an asset.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Multilingual abilities are considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Experience driving pickup trucks or U-Haul vehicles is an asset.
- Must be physically capable of repeatedly lifting and moving heavy appliances throughout the workday.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform both sales and warehouse duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy appliances for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic with attention to cleanliness, organization, and customer satisfaction.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed to support daily business operations.
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
