Job Summary
A.G Appel Enterprises Ltd is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for day to day maintenance and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, gravel trucks and pick ups. This will include oil changes, greasing, tire swap overs and other jobs to keep the equipment running and looking good. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience when it comes to maintenance and the ability to get a job done independently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of trucks and equipment
- Prepare trucks for CVI inspections
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to repair or replace faulty parts and components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic techniques and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance requests and coordinate repairs during scheduled downtimes.
Experience
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools
- Experience operating power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues accurately and implement effective solutions quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
