Summary
We are seeking a professional Truck Driver to join our team in Nanaimo. The successful candidate will play a vital role in transporting materials and equipment to support our road marking operations, supporting on road traffic control, and training on driving the front end of a paint truck.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tandem axel flat deck supply truck with a trailer to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Supporting install crews with traffic buffering and material loading
- Night shift operation
- Learning how and in the future operating a highway painting truck
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
- Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts when necessary.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies during transportation activities.
- Support maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license (CDL) for operating trucks in Canada.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Operate forklifts when required.
- Ability to load fork lifts on a trailer
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation.
- Ability to move materials efficiently across various sites.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Pay: $31.38-$37.21 per hour
