We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Mechanical Design & Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role combines engineering design, quality control, production support, and office coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong SolidWorks skills and experience working with technical drawings and manufacturing environments.
Location: Mississauga
Shift: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering
- Create new designs and technical drawings for ongoing and new projects
- Modify and update existing drawings as required
- Design custom products including automotive racking systems and industrial bags
- Work with customer-supplied CAD data (UG/NX or CATIA) and convert files into SolidWorks
- Develop innovative design solutions based on customer requirements
Quality Control (ISO 9001)
- Maintain and complete ISO 9001 documentation and records
- Prepare design control forms and work orders
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with standards
Production Support
- Assist in ensuring smooth production operations
- Help resolve issues to avoid delays or interruptions
Inventory & Office Support
- Track incoming, outgoing, and consumed materials
- Assist with invoice preparation and shipping coordination (truck bookings)
- Maintain employee attendance records
- Support general administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
- University degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering preferred
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience working with CAD software such as CATIA or UG/NX
- Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems is an asset
- College diploma with relevant experience may be considered
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
