About Us
Maple Grove Village is a quiet, well-established mobile home park community just outside Shelburne, home to 89 residents/units. We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to keep our community running smoothly: someone reliable, personable, and comfortable wearing many hats.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance and repairs across the community, including plumbing issues, general upkeep, and coordinating plumbing and electrical work.
- Assist in monitoring and helping maintain the park's water system alongside the qualified third party water monitoring company, ensuring compliance with Ontario drinking water regulations.
- Handle resident maintenance requests promptly and courteously.
- Manage snow removal operations throughout the winter season (plowing, salting, walkway clearing) and common are grass mowing in the summer.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger repair or improvement projects.
- Keep basic maintenance logs and communicate with park management on ongoing issues.
What We Are Looking For
Required:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing repair and maintenance.
- Strong interpersonal skills: comfortable interacting with residents and resolving concerns calmly and professionally.
- Willingness and physical ability to perform outdoor winter work, including snow removal.
- This job requires scheduling flexibility and ability to be on site with short notice as urgent maintenance issues arise.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Assets (nice to have, but we'll support you in getting there):
- Valid Ontario Water Treatment certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Previous experience in property maintenance, plumbing, or a related trade.
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
- Snow removal experience: comfortable using farm tractor with 8 foot snow blower,
