Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid background in food service and hospitality. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing customer interactions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Prior experience in restaurant management, food handling, and POS systems is essential to ensure smooth service delivery and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Experience
- Greet and seat guests promptly while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitor service quality to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Uphold dining room ambiance, cleanliness, and overall comfort throughout service.
2. Staff Leadership
- Train, coach, and supervise FOH team members to deliver high-quality service.
- Ensure all staff follow established steps of service.
- Motivate employees and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
3. Operational Oversight
- Coordinate with kitchen teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and table turnover efficiently during peak hours.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory management of beverages and FOH supplies.
- Track customer feedback and service metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support POS configuration, transaction accuracy, and cash-handling procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food & beverage or hospitality leadership; hotel or destination dining experience is an asset.
- Proven ability to hire, train, motivate, and lead high-performing teams.
- Hands-on leadership style with a strong commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Solid understanding of FOH operations, including service standards, reservations, and beverage programs.
- Experience with POS systems, staff scheduling, and inventory management.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Genuine passion for hospitality, food, and beverage, with a focus on creating memorable and inspired dining experiences.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
