Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs to facilitate efficient service.
- Provide detailed auto estimates for repairs and maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Communicate clearly with technicians regarding vehicle issues and ensure timely updates to customers throughout the repair process.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical assessments to maximize shop productivity and customer value.
- Manage service writing tasks by preparing work orders, processing invoices, and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Coordinate with mechanics and service technicians to prioritize repairs such as wheel alignments, suspension work, tire replacements, or complex diagnostics.
- Foster strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or prior auto service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, tire services, diesel engines, air brakes, and auto body repairs.
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanor.
- Mechanical experience or background as a mechanic or service technician is advantageous.
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and automobile sales techniques is a plus.
