Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role provides vital support in pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing and excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and experience in hospital or pharmacy settings. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with licensed pharmacists and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, clarifying medication instructions, and offering support under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
- Prepare labels, packaging, and documentation for medications
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to safety and cleanliness standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is preferred
- Pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is a plus
- Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to all safety protocols

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
