We are seeking a dedicated Lead Driver to deliver great service to people's properties, including mowing, edging, trimming and light weeding. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in leading and supervising teams, and truck & trailer driving experience. This role involves managing daily logistics, ensuring safety standards, and coordinating with team members to deliver exceptional service. The Lead Driver will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our lawn mowing and gardening services for our residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport equipment, materials, and personnel to job sites.
- Supervise and coordinate team members during lawn cutting, trimming, blowing and gardening of properties.
- Assist with property optimization to ensure quick, efficient execution, ensuring timely completion of tasks along your route.
- Oversee and work alongside your crew members.
- Provide leadership and guidance to crew members, fostering a productive work environment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during transportation and on-site activities.
- Maintain accurate records for each property, efficiently working out of the vehicle from arrival at the property to property completion.
- Support the training of new team members in driving procedures, safety standards, and technical skills related to landscape work.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience with leadership capabilities in a landscape maintenance environment with truck and trailer experience.
- Knowledge of lawn cutting techniques, gardening, and trailer driving
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate various types of vehicles safely.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and maintain high safety standards on all properties.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; capable of lifting heavy equipment when necessary. This position offers an opportunity for growth within our organization for individuals committed to excellence in landscape management and team leadership.
Pay: $25.50-$28.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
