About the Role:
As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the success of our projects by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for roofing and cladding work. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing a combination of work from home and office-based responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Analyze project requirements and identify potential risks or opportunities
- Prepare bid submissions and supporting documentation
- Maintain estimating databases and pricing information
- Collaborate with project managers, operations staff, and senior leadership
- Assist with project handovers following successful bids
Requirements:
- Previous estimating experience in construction is required
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with estimating software
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
