Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Flooring Epoxy Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing, applying, and finishing epoxy flooring in commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have experience with flooring installation, construction, and related handyman skills. Attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and etching to ensure proper epoxy adhesion
- Mix and apply epoxy coatings according to project specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools such as trowels, rollers, brushes, and grinders to complete flooring applications
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Install flooring materials including tiles or other finishes as needed
- Perform surface repairs, caulking, and sealing to ensure a smooth finish
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
- Collaborate with other construction or renovation team members to meet project deadlines
- Conduct quality checks throughout the process to ensure durability and aesthetic standards are met
Requirements
- Proven experience with flooring installation, epoxy application, or related construction work
- Familiarity with hand tools, tile laying, carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading
- Construction or handyman experience preferred
- Ability to operate basic power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are a plus
- Prior experience working with epoxy coatings is highly desirable
