Overview
Express Employment is currently recruiting on behalf of a company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician Apprentice, from 2nd Year through Journeyperson level, for a 3–4 week temporary assignment in Lloydminster. The ideal candidate will possess foundational electrical knowledge, a strong work ethic, and the ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced setting. This position will provide support for the project by assisting with electrical installations and related tasks while ensuring all safety and quality standards are upheld throughout the assignment.
Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to support installation and repair projects.
- Perform wiring, conduit bending, and installation of electrical components in accordance with industry standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on construction projects.
- Work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with senior electricians on complex projects involving industrial electrical systems and construction sites.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Registered 2nd-year (or higher) Electrical Apprentice or Journeyperson Electrician.
- Demonstrated knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks, including wiring, conduit work, and system troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and low voltage systems used in construction or renovation projects.
- Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics related to automation systems is preferred.
- Ability to travel to and from the work site reliably throughout the duration of the assignment.
- Ability to work safely in high-risk environments while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
