Floral Assistant
Love flowers, weddings, and working with an awesome team? Come help us transform amazing wedding venues with beautiful floral designs and be part of creating unforgettable celebrations. When you're not creating wedding magic, you'll also help customers in our retail shop, creating arrangements and providing friendly service in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Tasks
-Process flowers upon arrival following proper care and handling procedures
-You will need to be comfortable using pruners, knives and scissors and follow safety procedures
-Assist walk-in customers- Giftware items, clothing, order pickups, wrapping floral purchases, arranging custom cut flower bouquets, taking orders
- Answer phones and assist customers with inquiries and orders
- Prepare rentals for event set-ups
-Event setup and pickup – You will need a valid Class 5 driver’s license and be comfortable driving a cargo van throughout the city as well as out of town events
- Arranging cut flower bouquets and bud vases according to recipes and instructions to conform to the standard and design style of Floral Fixx
- You will be required to fill in Time Tracking sheets to monitor productivity – Productivity targets will be monitored by the managers and targets must be met to advance to the next design level
-Temperature variations - You will need to be able to work in the flower cooler with a temperature controlled environment (between 3-7 degrees Celsius) at different intervals during the day
-Pack floral arrangements and bouquets for the designers properly and securely
- Keep the store areas clean, organized and tidy
- You will need to learn the names of all of the varieties of flowers that we carry in the shop
- Ability to stand for your entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs periodically
-Must be able to take direction and work with a positive attitude

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
