Rutenberg Sales Lighting + Lighting Controls is a leading professional lighting and lighting controls sales agency servicing all design and construction disciplines for all market segments. We have been proudly serving the Ontario lighting community for 51 years. With a dedicated team of employees and manufacturers, we assist with project requirements from specification to installation. We work closely with all members of the design and construction team including lighting designers, architects, electrical engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, electrical distributors and electrical contractors.
We are currently seeking a full time Lighting Applications Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will provide design and technical support for our diverse customer base as well as our sales team. This individual will work with project drawings, AutoCAD, AGI and other tools to provide lighting and lighting controls layouts. They will assist with our wireless and wired lighting controls needs.
Key responsibilities:
· Assisting design consultants with their lighting designs
· Performing and reviewing calculations with AGI software
· Developing lighting layouts
· Preparing lighting proposals and budget quotations
· Performing site audits
· Verifying specifications
· Assisting our inside team with Project Management
· Analyzing and sharing new product data
Qualifications:
· Experience in lighting, electrical design, and lighting controls
· AutoCAD experience
· Familiarity with Lighting Design codes and requirements
· Post-secondary education in Lighting Design, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or
related field would be considered an asset
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Excellent organizational skills and time management
· Effective communication skills
· Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
· Positive attitude
