Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the waitlist efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Handle reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar software
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Manage guest flow during busy hours, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons
- Assist with special requests or accommodations as needed to enhance guest satisfaction
Skills
- Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette for reservation handling and guest inquiries
- Experience with hotel or restaurant industry standards is a plus
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
