About Us
For over 30 years, Vaughan Veterinary Clinic has been a trusted staple in our community. Accredited by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario, Dr. H. Dave, D.V.M., and our dedicated team provide compassionate, expert care for beloved cats and dogs.
We are a low-volume, general practice clinic that focuses on building lifelong relationships with our clients and keeping their pets happy, healthy, and comfortable (which means offering plenty of treats!). Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, patient, and highly motivated Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. This is a true hybrid role where you will partner directly with Dr. Dave to manage daily operations. You will split your time between front-desk client relations and clinical support in the back. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who naturally takes initiative, possesses stellar customer service skills, and has a deep love for animals.

- Maintain a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the clinic by cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing workstations as needed.
Reception & Operations Duties:
- Act as the welcoming face and voice of the clinic, managing phone calls and emails.
- Provide exceptional, patient customer service to a loyal, multi-generational clientele.
- Manage the clinic schedule, book appointments, and handle patient reminders and follow-ups.
- Take charge of inventory management, including ordering food, medical supplies, and retail items.
- Manage and update the clinic website on WIX, Google Business Manager, and other social platforms.
Qualifications & Skills
- Stellar customer service and communication skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to both clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to proactively manage your own tasks and clinic chores without constant supervision.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to making every pet's visit a positive, low-stress experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Education/Experience (Must meet at least one):
