Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accurate accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong skills in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial data, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring smooth accounts payable and receivable operations. Education
- College or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Tasks
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks is required
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance standards is preferred
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
- Manage accounts payable
- Manage accounts receivable
- Prepare balance sheets and income statements for individual properties and the corporation
- Calculate and record tenant common area maintenance (CAM) expenses on a monthly basis in Excel to produce a year end tenant cam reconciliation report and payment schedule.
