Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, take accurate orders, and ensure a positive dining experience for all patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role. The Server will play a vital part in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for outstanding customer care and seamless service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling and serving
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience serving in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry is a must
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
