Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the cannabis industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to educate customers about products in a professional manner. This role involves assisting customers with their selections, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a welcoming retail environment. Multilingual abilities and experience in retail or hospitality are highly valued to enhance customer interactions. The position offers an engaging work environment where organizational skills and product knowledge are key to success.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage in compliance with regulations
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipt issuance
- Upsell products to maximize customer satisfaction and store sales goals
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store environment is clean and inviting
- Manage inventory levels through proper filing, stock replenishment, and product rotation
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing and record keeping using Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Word
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via communication skills in English and French (bilingual preferred)
- Follow all safety protocols including heavy lifting when necessary for stock movement or display setup
- Uphold compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, hospitality, or a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, computer operation, and basic math skills are advantageous
- Multilingual abilities (English plus French or other languages) are considered a strong asset
- Demonstrated organizational skills with experience in merchandising, filing, time management, and inventory control
- Leadership qualities or prior supervisory experience are a plus but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed and work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
