Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to completion. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical understanding, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to upsell services effectively.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon their arrival at the service department
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and services based on mechanical knowledge
- Prepare repair orders and communicate estimates clearly to customers
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs efficiently
- Upsell additional services or maintenance that benefit the customer’s vehicle and safety
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status and ensure satisfaction upon completion of service
- Maintain organized records of service visits, repairs, and customer interactions
- Promote dealership services, maintenance plans, and warranty options to enhance sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or background in automotive repair is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Sales experience, including upselling techniques, is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and efficiency
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
