We are currently seeking a qualified CNC Milling Machinist for our machining team at Fusion Laser.
Key Skills & Job Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years machining experience
- Experience running CNC mills, either 3-axis or 5-axis
- Set up and operate CNC mill machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints
- Programming experience at the controller and with Master Cam or other software's such as Power Mill, Lemoine, etc.
- Ability to use various measuring tools such as Micrometers, Vernier Calipers and Dial Bore Gauges
- Mechanically inclined with an understanding of how to use hand tools and reading a measuring tape
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job such as: standing, walking for extended periods of time, bending, and lifting heavy objects (a minimum of 50 lbs.)
- Familiarity with use of a forklift and overhead crane (we will also provide training on both)
- General Machinist Certificate is an asset
- Ability to train an apprentice machinist is an asset
- Keep machines and surrounding workspace clean while maintaining a safe organized work environment
- Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety guidelines, procedures and practices when operating equipment
