The responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Construction labour, assist with installation of natural gas lines and infrastructure
- Operate equipment: Backhoe, skid steer, mower, mini excavator
- Ensure the safety of the crew
- Maintain the use of machinery and equipment.
- Must partake in daily hazard assessments and toolbox meetings
- Take corrective action to mitigate immediate hazards
- Complete daily activity reports/daily logs.
- Work with supervisor to schedule and coordinate work tasks.
- Identify utility locates when on the job site.
- Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.
- Promote a team approach.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
- Construction labour experience required
- Equipment Operator experience desired
- Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Recognizes and understands the safe operation of equipment and material handling
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Successful candidates are required to have personal reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- WHIMIS and Ground Disturbance Level 2 are considered an asset
Job Types: Seasonal, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $20.00-$36.00 per hour

- Cochrane, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
