Job Title: EA (Education Assistant) Instructor
Responsibilities
Theory Instruction (In-Person or Online)
- Deliver lectures aligned with course objectives and program learning outcomes.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, and materials that engage diverse learners.
- Explain course outlines, expectations, and assessment criteria at the start of each course.
- Provide regular feedback on student progress and support student learning needs.
- Assess assignments and exams and submit grades within required timelines.
- Participate in curriculum development, updates, and instructional planning.
General Responsibilities (All Instructors)
- Discuss students’ progress and address academic concerns as needed.
- Submit all required records and documentation, including attendance and grades, in a timely manner and in accordance with institutional policies and established processes. Accurately track and report student attendance and grades through the system as required.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in program and college initiatives.
- Participate in faculty performance reviews, if required.
- Arrange make-up sessions for hours missed due to illness or other absences.
- Comply with all college policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program manager, College Dean, or President.
Education and Experience Required:
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in an Education/ Education Assistant or a field directly related to the subject area being taught.
- A minimum of two years of related work experience in the subject area.
- In the absence of formal education, a minimum of ten years of relevant work experience may be considered.
Location: WCC Surrey Central Campus
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 2 PM
