Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children diagnosed with developmental and behavioral challenges, providing evidence-based interventions to promote positive growth and development. Duties
- Prioritize neuro-affirming practices and play-based intervention.
- Implement individualized ABA therapy programs designed by licensed behaviour analysts, focusing on skill acquisition and improving independence
- Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and inform treatment adjustments
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and reinforce therapeutic strategies across environments
- Use research-backed methods to teach communication, social skills, daily living skills, and other targeted behaviors
- Maintain detailed documentation of session activities, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational standards
- Assist in training and supervising entry-level staff or interns as needed
- Create a supportive, engaging environment that fosters learning and positive behavior change
Requirements
- Experience working with children, especially those with developmental or behavioral challenges
- Background knowledge in special education
- Familiarity with research methods related to behavior analysis and data collection techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and families
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children's growth and development
- Ability to follow detailed treatment protocols and adapt strategies based on individual needs
- Relevant certifications or training in ABA therapy are a plus but not mandatory; ongoing professional development is encouraged
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
