Overview
LVM Landscaping and Snow Removal is seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team. This role is essential for supporting various operational tasks on outdoor job sites at residential properties, ensuring smooth workflow and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, detail‑oriented, and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. Prior experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in a hands‑on setting and become an integral part of our team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform heavy landscaping labor: Digging, trenching, moving soil, and shoveling dirt/mulch repeatedly.
- Handle heavy material transport: Safely load, unload, and move pavers, stones, concrete slabs, and other bulk landscaping supplies using wheelbarrows and hand trucks.
- Assist with hardscaping installations: Support crew members in prepping bases, laying pavers, and setting borders for walkways and patios.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure strict safety standards are met.
- Support crew members with general landscaping, maintenance, and seasonal snow removal activities.
- Operate basic hand tools and power machinery safely as instructed and trained.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries, and promptly report any site hazards to supervisors.
Requirements
- Physically demanding: Ability to perform continuous, heavy manual labor including lifting and carrying up to 50+ lbs repeatedly (pavers, bags of concrete, wet soil).
- Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons, including summer heat, rain, and winter conditions.
- Strong work ethic with sharp attention to detail and site safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow layout designs and team instructions accurately.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are non-negotiable.
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or heavy manual labor is an asset but not mandatory (we will train the right attitude).
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for transportation to various job sites.
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
