Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Busser to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests by delivering food promptly, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the service staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of food safety and service standards. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food service industry within a vibrant and fast-paced environment. In addition to an hourly wage, team members participate in a tip-out program and receive a percentage of gratuities based on hours worked and restaurant policies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner
- Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables to ensure cleanliness and readiness for new guests
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including wiping down tables, chairs, and service stations
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation and handling as needed
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld during all food handling and serving activities
- Restock supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments to ensure smooth service flow
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to meet guest needs promptly
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper cleaning procedures and food handling protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards guest services and hospitality standards
