Job Overview
As Patient Care Coordinator, you'll coordinate telephone and electronic referrals, schedule patient care visits, and verify funding agency criteria for home oxygen therapy and related healthcare services. We're looking for someone customer-focused, detail-oriented, and organized, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
What You’ll Do
- Warmly welcome clients and assist with purchases, appointment booking, and general therapy inquiries
- Promptly answer phone calls and faxes; route correspondence and inquiries to the right team members; manage supply requisitions and other office duties
- Bill insurance providers and government agencies
- Maintain accurate records of submissions and payments; minimize accounts receivable and ensure prompt collection of outstanding payments
- Follow patient charting protocols in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Support marketing efforts, including literature supplies, social media, and patient experience feedback
- Assist clients with CPAP and oxygen supply replenishment using our EMR-based program
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- College diploma/degree in administration, or a regulated Health Care Professional designation, is an asset
- 2+ years of medical administrative experience, preferably in Home Oxygen or Sleep therapy
- Fluency in French (reading, writing, oral) is an asset
- Retail or merchandising experience is a strong asset
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Blueprint, QuickBooks, or agency portal systems is an asset
- Quick learner who adapts well to changing processes
- Professional, friendly, customer-service-oriented communication style
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management; able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Takes initiative with minimal supervision on patients' oxygen and sleep therapy needs
- Excellent listening skills and sound independent judgment
