Position Overview
Are you passionate about providing solutions for customers that add value to their business while providing an exceptional customer experience? We’re looking for a Recycling & Forestry Territory Manager that is eager to build and drive the recycling and forestry business. This individual will be responsible for driving sales growth within the recycling and forestry industries, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing expert advice on Vermeer’s product lines. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the recycling and forestry industries, a passion for sustainable solutions, and a proven track record in sales.
What You Will Do
- Establish and maintain customer accounts by managing work schedules and itineraries to call on current and prospective customers.
- Ensure sales presentations, quotes and orders meet customer needs and Vermeer Canada requirements; follows up throughout the entire pre-sale and after-sale process.
- Resolve customer concerns by investigating problems and providing solutions that will add value to their operations, providing exceptional customer service and growing the Vermeer brand in the territory.
- Analyze market trends, sales forecasts and business plans, manage customer-related data, and provide input and/or assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs, assist in trade shows or similar company functions in the recycling and forestry industry, as required.
- Contributes towards a team effort by assisting/referring to other representatives, as situations develop and by helping Vermeer meet its overall objectives.
- Demonstrate equipment as applicable or able, providing customers with the necessary operating, servicing, warranty, and parts information.
- Submits all information reports in a complete and timely manner, including MOT requirements, call reports, prospect lists, work plans, expense submissions, vehicle reports, etc.
- Conveys a professional presence, ensuring a positive brand representation in the field and in the board room.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures, notably health and safety requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- Business development experience.
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities, with a desire to take initiative and accept responsibility.
- Ambitious and goal-oriented, with interpersonal and negotiating talents to meet sales objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; in person, on the telephone and in a written capacity.
- Previous general sales experience with proven track record, preferably in recycling and forestry
- Sales or marketing certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license: class A license preferred.
- Willingness to travel throughout the territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Sales Force.
