Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Manager Assistant to support our property management team. This role involves assisting with daily operations, maintaining tenant relationships, and ensuring the smooth functioning of property-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with property management software such as Yardi. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing tenant communications and inquiries via phone, email, and in person, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Support lease administration, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records using property management software like Yardi
- Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar platforms
- Help organize and update tenant files, lease agreements, and other administrative documents
- Assist with scheduling property inspections, showings, and meetings with tenants or vendors
- Support the property management team in sales activities such as leasing efforts and renewal negotiations
- Maintain organized office operations through efficient filing systems and data entry processes
- Contribute to building positive customer relationships by providing exceptional service and addressing tenant needs promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience with Office software (Microsoft Office Suite) is preferred
- Familiarity with Yardi or other property management systems is highly desirable
- Administrative experience including data entry, filing, and record keeping
- Strong customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Experience in sales or negotiation is a plus for lease renewals and tenant relations
- Knowledge of property management practices and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
This role is essential in supporting the seamless operation of our property management services while providing valuable experience within the industry.
Pay: $23.75-$25.43 per hour
