Our client, a local irrigation installation business, is currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, and dedicated individual to join their team as an Irrigation System Installer. Selected candidates will perform a variety of duties including the installation, maintenance & repair of irrigation systems, as well as associated landscaping duties as required. This is a straight day shift from Monday to Friday with wages starting at $20.00 per hour.

About The Role
The General Labourer role will work as part of a team to perform a wide variety of activities relating to the installation and repair of lawn irrigation systems. Workers will meet at the shop site in Owen Sound each morning and then travel with the team to jobsites through Grey & Bruce County. This is a manual labour position requiring the physical ability to move materials, dig holes and perform various landscaping activities. Other tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Digging Holes & Trenches Used in Installation & Maintenance of Irrigation Lines
- Transporting & Laying Sod & Soil/Fertilizer
- Digging Holes by Hand to Access Water Pipes for Repair
- Completing Spring Start-Up & Fall Shut Down Activities for Various Irrigation Systems
- Installing New Systems Including Piping & Sprinkler Heads
- Using Various Tools & Machinery to Create Trenching
- Transporting Materials by Wheelbarrow Including Sod, Screenings, Gravel, Soil, & Other Materials
- Mowing, Trimming, Lifting, & Other General Landscaping Activities
- Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements
- Previous Experience in Landscaping or Irrigation Installation Considered an Asset
- G License with Clean Driver’s Abstract Required
- Ability to Work in a Warm Environment
- Reliability, Strong Work Ethic, & Ability to Work in Fast-Paced Team
- Physically Capable – Able to Lift Upwards of 50 Lbs. on Consistent Basis
- Able to Bend, Kneel & Stand for Long Periods
- Capable of Working in Variety of Weather & Temperature Conditions
- Steel Toed Boots & Hi-Vis Work Wear Required
