For over 25 years, WeKare Nursing & Homecare has provided compassionate, high-quality care to children, adults, and seniors in their homes. We are expanding our Pediatric Division and seeking caring, reliable care aides/health workers to support children and youth with diverse medical needs.
Job Summary
We are hiring BC Registered care aides/health workers to deliver one-on-one pediatric care in a home-care setting. Your responsibilities include monitoring patient health, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective care.
This postion is 4 - 8 hours shifts, mornings and nights
Responsibilities
- Monitor and document vital signs; report any changes
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Support care planning and assessments as needed
- Provide compassionate communication and support to patients and families
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Current BC Care Aide/Community Health Worker Registration in good standing
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Pediatric experience is an asset (training available)
Physical Requirements
This role may involve bending, lifting, transferring, or participating in play/care activities with children and youth (ages 0–19). Must be able to safely perform these duties with or without accommodation.
