Position Overview
We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Pizza Maker to join the kitchen team at 147. As a key member of our back-of-house operations, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, artisanal pizzas in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for food, works well under pressure, and maintains high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Dough & Prep: Hand-stretch dough to specific thickness and size; prepare fresh toppings, sauces, and cheeses according to 147’s recipes.
- Oven Management: Monitor and manage pizza cooking times in high-temperature ovens to ensure a perfect crust and consistent quality.
- Order Fulfillment: Read and execute orders accurately, ensuring modifications or dietary restrictions are strictly followed.
- Station Maintenance: Keep the pizza station organized and stocked throughout the shift; perform "clean-as-you-go" practices to meet health and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with servers and other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals, especially during peak dinner rushes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or pizza-making role is preferred but not required (we will train the right attitude).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work comfortably in a high-heat kitchen environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knife skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Availability: Must be available for evening shifts and weekends.
- Certifications: Valid Food Handler’s Certificate is a strong asset.
