Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about outdoor aesthetics and possess a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and horticulture practices. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions to create and maintain beautiful, functional landscapes for residential and commercial clients. The Landscape Gardener will play a vital part in enhancing the natural environment through careful planning, planting, and ongoing care.
Duties
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform planting, trimming, mowing, and other landscape tasks
- Maintain gardens, lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds according to client specifications and industry standards
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including fertilizing, mulching, pruning, and weed control
- Assist with landscape design projects by preparing soil, planting new greenery, and installing features such as pathways or decorative elements
- Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases, applying appropriate treatments as needed
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all landscaping activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Keep work areas clean and organized after completing tasks to maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications
- Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping tasks
- Strong understanding of plant care, soil preparation, and landscape design principles
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate loads as needed
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces
- Valid driver's license is preferred for travel between job sites
