Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journey man Red Seal Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a certified expert in mechanical repairs and maintenance, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of equipment used across various sectors. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections and preventative servicing to extend equipment lifespan and prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and industrial machinery to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, and other industrial machinery for troubleshooting or assembly purposes.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to accurately identify issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance logs, and parts used; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
Skills
- Proven journey man Red Seal certification with extensive mechanic experience across diverse machinery types.
- Strong dealership experience preferred; familiarity with OEM standards is a plus.
- Proficiency in working with excavators, cranes, caterpillar equipment, forklifts, HVAC systems, and farm machinery.
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical knowledge, and the use of schematics for diagnostics.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Experience with automotive repair, industrial equipment assembly, maintenance procedures, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of power tools, hand tools, electrical systems, and industrial machinery operation is essential for success in this role.
