Assistant Research Technician – Cereals
Limagrain Cereals Research Canada (LCRC) is hiring four temporary Research Assistants for a three-month term in), in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. As a member of our research team, you’ll be involved in harvesting and processing field crop research trials both locally in Saskatoon and across the Prairie Provinces.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure safe operations of equipment and safety of project personnel in accordance with company, provincial and government guidelines.
- Assist in operating research equipment to harvest field trials for data collection
- Support with repetitive tasks with an attention to detail
- Due to the weather-dependent nature of fieldwork, extended hours, including weekends will be required as conditions allow
- Assist with maintaining, servicing, and repairing equipment
- Utilize lab equipment, including scales, cleaners and threshers for seed processing and data collection
- Participate in all tasks conducted on the research station as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including general upkeep of lab spaces and field equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety
Qualifications & experience preferred:
- Experience with plant research, seed processing and data collection is desired.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Ability to work away from Saskatoon, including weekends if necessary.
- Ability to work extended hours under variable environmental and ergonomic conditions associated with harvesting field research trials.
Salary is competitive within industry. We commensurate with experience.

Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour
