What you will do:

Operate and monitor molds in presses, following established production processes.

Execute scheduled start-up procedures promptly and efficiently.

Ensure all processes run within specified parameters for optimal performance.

Maintain a clean and organized machine and work area before commencing production.
-
Notify shift supervisors once start-ups are completed and processes are running smoothly.

Verify all water circuits before initiating the start-up process.
-
Troubleshoot the molding process, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and production efficiency.

Address quality issues and collaborate with the quality department to identify root causes.

Contribute ideas to enhance the efficiency of the molding department.

Communicate any problems, needs, or important information to the shift supervisor.

Assist the shift supervisor as needed.

Train process technician trainees as required.

Arrive 5 minutes before your shift starts to communicate with your supervisor and the previous shift.
The right candidate will have/be:
Education: Post-Secondary education or equivalent.

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
-
Ability to read and understand work orders.
-
A minimum of 3 years of experience setting injection molds and injection mold processing in a manufacturing environment

Must have excellent understanding of the injection molding machine functions.

Must understand the fundamentals of the injection molding process.
-
Knowledge of plastic raw materials and their processing characteristics.

Capable of lifting up to 40lbs
-
Able to work weekend and statutory holidays when required
-
Self-starter and able to work in an extremely fast paced environment.

Able to work with minimal supervision and take directions.
-
Must have own tools.
