Canpaco, a division of Imperial Dade Canada, has a contract position open in Kingsville, ON. The Machine Operator is a self-motivated team player who will be an active part of our Distribution department in the areas of picking, shipping and stocking.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for but not limited to operating tray assembling machine.
- Operate tray assembling machine
- Load machine with corrugated boxes
- Retrieve finished boxes off the machine and place on pallets
- Wrap pallets
- Load glue for machine into hopper
- Change mandrills for box changes
- Experience a plus, but will train the right candidates
- Forklift license would be a bonus, but not required.
Qualifications:
- Previous or current experience with the Counter Balance – an asset.
- Previous warehousing experience required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills required (able to read, write and speak English).
- Self-motivated, dependable and reliable.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
- Good decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
- Secondary School Graduate or related experience.
Working/Other Conditions
- Working onsite in a dry climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment.
- Minimal to moderate exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and vibrations conducive to a warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.
This position has a salary range of $18.00 to $19.00.
