We are looking for an experienced, performance-oriented Operating Shift Boss to join our team near Quesnel, BC.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for safe and effective operations and a well-rounded background that includes site supervision, excavation planning, and day-to-day operational management in mining, oilfield, construction, or similar environments.
Our small, high-performance, production placer mining environment requires individuals with a strong production-oriented work ethic, a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead teams to create exceptional outcomes.
Skills and Experience Desired
- Experience with site planning, supervision, and day-to-day operations management in a mining (preferred), oilfield, construction, or similar environment
- A strong safety track record
- Extensive experience operating and supervising a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, and articulated haul trucks
- Ability to lead crews in a collaborative and solution-oriented manner
- A demonstrated track record of problem solving, process improvement, and delivering projects on schedule
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and adapt in fast-paced environments
- Comfort working from a camp environment on rotations
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site operations and production activities
- Collaborate with operators and management to ensure safe and efficient excavation and material movement
- Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed
- Assist with production planning, scheduling, and problem solving
- Monitor equipment usage and coordinate maintenance requirements
- Maintain a productive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
