Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate all activities for the assigned accounts.
- Assist and conduct daily shift meetings.
- Team leads are the subject matter experts in their functional areas.
- Acting as the Super Users (WMS):
- Training, Re-training Associates on WMS transactions and helping troubleshoot WMS issues
- Communicating information and answering associates’ questions related to High Jump RF Scan Devices
- Provide front line support for Warehouse system
- Serve as a Liaison between IT Team and Operations
- On the floor: Leading warehouse associates, making sure that the Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions are being followed and the Key Performance Indicators are achieved
- Ensure staff lunch and breaks schedules are followed.
- Provide feedback to management regarding employee performance.
- Ensures adherence to established safety practices.
- Proactively bring to the attention of management any operational issues as they develop and assist in finding resolution.
- Assists in the labour planning for their department (meeting the productivity standards)
- Ensure work functions are handed out to all staff timely so there is no downtime (meeting the productivity standards)
- Responsible for the allocation and proper use of equipment such as RF guns.
- Proactively informs management to orders supplies as required
- Liaise with internal departments such as Customer Service, Transportation, Shipping and Receiving and Inventory to investigate and resolve operational and client issues
- Demonstrate knowledge of current ongoing customer requirements, or new client set up to meet customer expectations and Service Level Agreements
- Enforce workplace rules.
- Performs administrative tasks as they relate to the operation.
- Responsible for building security / door check and arm.
- Participates in different projects as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2-3 years Team Lead experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment is preferred
- Knowledge of distribution operating systems, WMS
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to drive for results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage employee conflict to a successful resolution.
- Ability to assess talent and build development plans
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
- Ability to proactively plan and organize work to accomplish goals
- Strong time management skills.
- Knowledge and experience using MS Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook
