McLaughlin Trusses Inc - has an immediate opening for a Truck Driver to complete our team! Located in Wakefield, NB, we are a manufacturer specializing in the design and manufacture of pre-engineered structural systems for commercial and residential construction projects in Atlantic Canada.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct pre and post trip inspects on equipment and loads, reporting any deficiencies.
- Operate and maintain trucks and trailers in a safe and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Verify correct product is delivered at every stop.
- Maintain strong communication with both office, logistics, peers and customers.
- When not driving, yard help is required. Moving lumber bundles, picking up loose lumber and broken pieces. Forklift experience would be considered and asset.
- At current time no USA loads. Typical loads are Atlantic Canada and higher percentage in NB.
- Paid Hourly.
- Loads are typically either over length, width and sometimes both.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class 1 License with a clean 2-year commercial abstract dated not more than 30 days prior to interview.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time (8 to 10-hour shifts).
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Ability to use hands to grasp, handle and feel.
- Frequent stooping, bending and stretching.
