Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Parts Person/Service Writer to join our shop. This role is essential in accurately sourcing parts and supporting the mechanics within the shop. The ideal candidate will have experience and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics in selecting the correct parts and accessories for our fleet
- Write detailed service orders, accurately documenting concerns and requested services
- Maintain organized inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate and properly stored
- Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to ensure timely parts availability for repairs and maintenance
- Support the service department by managing work orders and following up on repairs
Requirements
- Previous experience is highly preferred. Wage will be based on experience.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with automotive repair is a significant advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors/customers and team members
- Familiarity with automotive parts systems and inventory management software is a plus
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Drivers license as will be needed to do drop-offs and pick-ups.
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
