Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Private Nanny (Live out) to provide attentive care and support for children in a private household. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, ensuring the children's well-being, development, and daily needs are met with professionalism and warmth. Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care tailored to the children's ages and individual needs
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, incorporating meal planning and preparation skills
- Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and nap times
- Engage children in educational activities, play, and teaching to promote development
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to children’s belongings, including cleaning toys and bedrooms
- Laundry
- Pet care (there is a cat living in the home)
- Support children with homework or learning activities as needed
- Administer basic caregiving tasks for children ensuring their comfort and safety
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring activities and adhering to safety protocols
- Alongside childcare, you will play a key role in keeping our household running smoothly. This includes meal planning and preparing nutritious food for the family, doing laundry, keeping the home clean and organized, and managing light housekeeping (like tidying toys and bedrooms). Additionally, we need someone willing to run everyday household errands like grocery shopping, and assist with basic pet care for our resident cat.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children is essential; experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong skills in cooking, meal preparation, and cleaning to maintain household standards
- Demonstrated caregiving abilities with patience, empathy, and reliability
- Ability to teach age-appropriate skills and foster educational growth
- Excellent communication skills and a nurturing demeanor
- Valid background check and ability to pass any required screening processes
- Flexibility to adapt to the family's schedule and specific needs of the children
- Valid CPR and First Aid
- Ability to swim is a plus
