Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Morning Baker/Counter Set Up team member to join our neighbourhood bakery. The candidate will be responsible for preparing baked goods, setting up the counter for daily operations.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including large batches of cupcakes, scones, cinnamon buns, while adhering to quality standards.
- Decorate cakes and desserts with attention to detail and creativity.
- Ensure all food items are prepared following food safety and handling guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including kitchen stations, fridges and freezers.
- Restock supplies as needed throughout the shift to ensure smooth operation.
- Follow proper food handling procedures during packaging and presentation of baked goods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation is required.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during morning hours.
- Attention to detail in decorating and presentation of baked goods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies up to 20kg.
Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour

- Baking: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (required)
