Guard Tower Security is currently seeking experienced and professional Security Guards to join our growing event security team. Successful candidates will be assigned to major festivals, cultural events, corporate functions, nightlife venues, community events, and other large-scale public gatherings throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.
We are looking for individuals who are confident, reliable, professional in appearance, and capable of working in fast-paced environments with large crowds.
Responsibilities:
- Access control and credential verification
- Crowd management and guest assistance
- Patrolling designated areas on foot
- Monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted zones
- Responding to incidents and disturbances in a professional manner
- Providing exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and event organizers
- Maintaining detailed incident reports when required
- Assisting with emergency procedures and evacuations
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, event organizers, and fellow security personnel
- Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees
Requirements:
- Valid Alberta Security Services License
- Minimum 2 years of security experience preferred
- Previous event security experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills
- Reliable transportation to and from event sites
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and statutory holidays when required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working festivals, concerts, nightlife venues, sporting events, or large public gatherings
- Experience conducting access control and crowd management
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience writing incident reports and documenting security occurrences
