The School Neerlandia Public Christian School
Neerlandia Public Christian School (NPCS) is a vibrant interdenominational K- 9 alternate school located in the community of Neerlandia. Neerlandia is a Hamlet located in the County of Barrhead, Alberta, approximately 140 km north-west of Edmonton. Neerlandia Public Christian School, where the motto is Learning to Serve, has approximately 20 teachers and support staff serving the needs of 180 students. It is supported in its Christian Mission through the Prairie Centre for Christian Education.

The Position
The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in providing support and encouragement to students with a diversity of learning needs. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday, 3.5 hours/day following the school calendar. Duties are to commence August 27, 2026 and will end June 25, 2027.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience working with behaviorally challenged students would be an asset
- Experience working with school aged children
- Preference will be given to applicants with an understanding of childhood development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
- Able to work as a member of the school team and also independently
- Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
- Experience with Collaborative Problem Solving/Conflict Resolution would be an asset
- Siva Training would be considered an asset
First aid would be an asset
