Role Snapshot
The Fabrication Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating components to print specifications in a manufacturing environment. This is a first-shift, hands-on role requiring strong blueprint reading, layout, and fabrication skills. The ideal candidate can independently build from prints and meet production standards while maintaining quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Operate fabrication equipment including hand plasma cutters, saws, brake press, and deburring equipment

Weld quality parts to blueprint specifications using jigs when available

Perform layout and fabrication work to print requirements

Meet production standard times while maintaining weld quality

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow all safety procedures during welding and fabrication operations
Education & Experience Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
-
5+ years of fabrication welding experience required

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints

Proven experience laying out and fabricating parts to print

MIG welding experience required

Must pass an on-site weld test prior to placement

Strong measurement skills including fractions, decimals, and angles

Proficient with calipers, tape measure (to 1/32”), squares, and angle squares

Experience using hand tools, air tools, grinders, overhead cranes, and steel handling equipment

Forklift experience or ability to be trained
